Hi
I'm trying to find out anything at all about Lovell Glendower Tresham a member of the 2/12 Field Coy RAE. He was captured at Singapore, went to Changi but I am not sure what happened until 1944 when he died on the Rakuyo Maru in 1944. I have read Don Walls heroes at sea (he is mentioned in the nominal role) and I have his military records and a small photo (the only known photo of him).
He was my Grandmothers brother and she didn't know he existed until he enlisted, and sent a letter to their mum to let her know that he had joined the war and also married (Stella Burton).
I am also interested in what happened to the 2/12 Field Coy RAE, if there is a history or if there are still survivors etc.
I would be grateful to hear from anyone who might have met him, or knows something about 2/12 RAE.
Regards
Lawrence Finn

G'day all! Name is Mike Lee and I am the Welfare Officer for Castle Hill RSL Sub-Branch. I was notified by funeral director this afternoon of a passing of one of your member. His name was Allan Keith Scholes who served with the RAEME. All I know is his last rank was WO2 and he did not go overseas. If anyone can help me get hold of his service record for the Eulogy, it would be greatly appreciated. My contact is 0425 262 634 or email at m2037@hotmail.com
Many thanks to you all
Mike
Hello, my name is Geoff Allen . On behalf of the 3rd Cavalry Regt (Vietnam) Association I am doing a last ditch search for any service/ex service people
from Medical, Catering, Engineer, Raeme that may have served with our Unit or any of its derivatives in South Vietnam. eg: 1 Troop A Sqn 4/19 PWLH Regt, 1
APC Troop, 1 APC Sqn, A & B Sqns 3 Cav Regt. We are having an Plaque Dedication/other events at the Australian War Memorial late October 2009. We
have about 460 attendees so far and this will be a very unique experience for those who experience it. We are also having our gala night inside the
AWM under the wings of G for George. Time has run down and it is imperative that any interested party contact me ASAP. Would it be possible to have this
message distributed around any of your linked associations in an endeavour to find anyone interested that may not have made themselves known to us over
the years or simply did not know of us. Any interested people can contact me as below. Thank you most kindly for your time. Regards, Geoff( GD) Allen.
