The AGM will be held, as usual, at the Burwood RSL Club. The AGM will be held first,         commencing at 1100 hrs, and then those that wish, hopefully everyone, can attend the Buffett Lunch in the Club’s bistro, so please bring along your better half, and make it a day out, and meet some old friends, or make new friends. The lunch costs approximately $12.00 to $14.00 per person, and that includes soft drinks, tea / coffee, and desert as well, and it’s all you can eat.

Resolution for Revised Constitution

As you will all be aware, as it has been reported in the previous Newletters, the committee has   appointed a sub-committee to look at the current Constitution, which was last revised in 1993, with the view to bringing it up to date with the current NSW Government Publications, those     being:

NSW Department of Fair Trading, Model Rules for the Incorporation of Associations, issued and effective from September 1999; and

NSW Associations Incorporation Act, 1984, Number 143, Reprint Number 6, as in force at 8 March 2001.

As there has been no correspondence from any of our members over this period of time in relation to the proposed revision, the revised Constitution, as set out by the sub-committee, and in relation to the NSW Government Publications, and which was discussed by the full committee, and which was passed and accepted by that committee.

Therefore, the revised Constitution will be tabled before those members attending the AGM, which is being held on Saturday, 22 February 2003, at 1100 hrs, and to be discussed at that meeting, before the motion is put for acceptance.

There will be copies of the revised Constitution at the AGM, for those that wish to read the    document, but at this stage, until the revised Constitution is accepted, due to the cost of printing a document this size, the number of copies will be limited.
